The General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program is a 3-year diploma course (plus a 6-month internship) tailored for female students aspiring to become professional nurses. It focuses on developing skills in patient care, nursing procedures, and midwifery. Students are trained in theoretical subjects such as anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and medical-surgical nursing, as well as practical skills in clinical settings.
The curriculum emphasizes maternal and child health, community health nursing, and ethical aspects of nursing practice. Through extensive clinical rotations in hospitals and community health centers, students gain real-world experience in handling patients, administering medications, and assisting in surgeries and childbirth.
