Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a two-year foundational course designed to train students in the basics of pharmaceutical science and pharmacy practice. The program covers essential subjects such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacognosy, and hospital pharmacy. It aims to equip students with the skills needed to assist in dispensing medications, maintaining pharmacy records, and providing basic drug-related information.
The course includes both theoretical instruction and practical training in community and hospital pharmacy settings. Upon completion, graduates are eligible to register as Registered Pharmacists and work in retail pharmacies, hospitals, drug stores, or pursue higher education such as B.Pharm through lateral entry.
