The admission process for BSc Nursing through AMCSFNCK, the association of Kerala's leading private (Christian-management) nursing colleges, has begun. There are 35 high-standard nursing colleges under the association, and a single application lets you apply to all 35. Here is everything a student should understand before applying.
What is AMCSFNCK?
AMCSFNCK is the Association of the Managements of Christian Self-Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala — a group of 35 well-established nursing colleges. Instead of applying to each college separately, you submit one online application that covers all member colleges, and seats are allotted on merit through a common rank list.
Key Details at a Glance
- Application fee: ₹1,200, paid online. Applications are submitted online only on the official website.
- Eligibility / rank list: The rank list is prepared on the actual (real) marks scored in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English — the four subjects.
- No bonus for CBSE / ICSE: Students from CBSE and ICSE boards do not receive any separate bonus marks.
Options — You Get 35 Colleges, But Choose Only 15
Although there are 35 colleges in the list, at the time of allotment a student can select a maximum of 15 colleges as options. So your 15 choices must be made carefully — put the colleges you genuinely want, in the right order.
Higher Option Facility
Just like the LBS allotment, AMCSFNCK also offers the Higher Option facility. This lets you hold your allotted seat while still moving up to a better college on merit in a later round — helping students secure admission in the best colleges within reach. Minority Seats & Priority — Read This Carefully
Most colleges in the association have Christian minority status. Because of this:
- Apart from Christian management seats, some colleges reserve special priority or seats for Christian nuns (sisters).
- To claim the Christian minority benefit, you must submit a minority certificate along with your application.
Important Warning for Hindu & Muslim Students
Students from other communities (Hindu, Muslim and others) must apply with extra care:
- Some colleges have seats that are 100% reserved for the Christian minority community only.
- If you list such a college as an option, not only will you not get a seat there — you can also waste your valuable options.
- So before submitting, understand the proportion of open-merit seats in each college, and only then build your option list.
This is the single most common — and most costly — mistake students from other communities make. Check the open-merit ratio first.
Who Should Apply
This is an excellent opportunity for students with good marks to secure admission in top, well-established nursing colleges. If your PCB + English marks are strong, AMCSFNCK colleges are among the best choices in Kerala.
