Most Kerala students do not have this — so the government KCET route is effectively closed to them. The route that *is* open is management and NRI quota, which does not need any entrance exam.
Do Kerala Students Need NEET or KCET for Karnataka Nursing?
This is the biggest myth, so let us clear it once:
- NEET is for MBBS/BDS — not for BSc Nursing. You do not need NEET for nursing in Karnataka.
- KCET is the entrance test for Karnataka government-quota BSc Nursing seats (mandatory since 2023–24). But KCET government seats need Karnataka domicile, so they are not realistic for most Kerala students.

To join BSc Nursing in Karnataka through management quota, you need:
- 10+2 (Plus Two) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects

- Physically fit as per INC norms
